This book is dedicated to my parents, Marie and
Ed, who insisted on teaching their children to
think for themselves under any circumstance.
It is written for Matthew, Daniel, Makenna,
and Addisen, who may not read it any time soon
but whose futures will hopefully be improved by
what it contains.
