>> There are different types of trust that are important, including companion, competence
and commitment trust. These three types of trust do not develop through the same mech-
anisms nor do they necessarily develop simultaneously.
>> Trust is not easy to develop, especially where team members come from very differ-
ent backgrounds and so have different knowledge and understanding. In such situations,
prolonged interaction and common experiences are necessary to develop the shared
understanding necessary for trust to develop and knowledge sharing to be possible.
