developing your Virtual team
reconfiguring the process
We spend a lot of time playing video games and really enjoying it.

LEGO Universe 1
If you’ve ever played the online game World of Warcraft (known as
WoW), you know the potential of virtual teams. Addicting is a term
2
one can use to describe WoW. Another is fun. Another is, dare we say
it, collaborative. When you join World of Warcraft, which has millions
of players, online, all over the world, you create a character avatar,
which you control. You enter into a fantasy world where you engage
in combat with other players, explore new territory, gain skills and
abilities, develop expertise in your profession, and often team up with
other players to pursue more challenging goals than you could by
yourself. You might create an alliance with another avatar (who in
reality is living in another part of the world, who you will never meet).
You might go into battle with an entire group of people from all over
the real world acting through their WoW avatars. Does this sound
anything like your job?
