ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Known as “the Wingman,” Rob “Waldo” Waldman over-
came a lifelong battle with claustrophobia and a fear of
heights to become a decorated combat U.S. Air Force fighter
pilot and highly successful businessman. He is a graduate of
the U.S. Air Force Academy and also holds an M.B.A. with a
focus on organizational behavior. After the military, he tran-
sitioned to the business world where he led national sales
efforts for several companies before founding his own firm,
Wingman Consulting.
Waldo teaches individuals and organizations how to build
trusting relationships with their employees, partners, and cus-
tomers. While relaying his personal experiences as a decorated
combat fighter pilot and businessman, he makes striking par-
allels between the two that are memorable and exciting and
brings “Top Gun” energy into each story and illustration.
Waldo’s personal motto is “Winners Never Fly Solo,” and
