motor starting torque and must be carefully matched with the torque requirements of
the driven machinery and the torque characteristics of the motor.
For the large drives, such as water injection, gas export compressors and main
oil line pumps, computer simulation will be necessary to ensure that the available
main generation on the platform can start the drive successfully, without the platform
electrical system collapsing.
