makes the bandwidth attractive. Their Metro Area Connection links
LANs across a MAN using their backbone of wireless connections at
LAN speeds. Replacing low-bandwidth and data protocols with IP
over Ethernet enables transparent connections at speeds of five, 10,
or 100 Mbps. This is shown in Figure 10-24 with the LAN-to-LAN
connection. Using the IP over Ethernet service, the link is transpar-
ent.
