electrostatic coalescence is shown in Figure 5.
2. ac/dc field for maximum dehydration. A combination of ac and dc
(direct current) is used in this case. The basic configuration of this
process is shown in Figure 6. The ac is produced in the zone
beneath the electrodes, whereas the dc field is produced between
adjacent electrodes. This arrangement achieves maximum water
removal.
