and the reservoir drive mechanism. As a general rule, no wells should be
drilled into locations of the reservoir where water or gas is expected to
invade that part of the reservoir early after starting production.
Figures 7–10 illustrate the preferred locations of wells for various
reservoir structures and drive mechanisms.
