Page 36 - Religion in the Media Age Media, Religion & Culture
P. 36
What this book could be about 25
significant of the fact that all research is always transitional. This book
should be seen to be at the beginning, not near the end, of the debate on
relations between religion and media.
In the next chapter, we will move to a consideration of the issues of the
contemporary media and religious contexts in more detail. It is important
to understand how the evolution of these domains is creating the condi-
tions under which meaning-making – around “religion” and around social
meaning in general – is taking place.
