of oil. In the event of the auxiliary pump failing, it ensures that the
turboset receives sufficient oil while running down.
To lessen the breakaway torque in the bearings of the driven
machine, a reciprocating high-pressure pump is sometimes provided.
On large turbines the bearings are also fed with jacking oil. A jacking
