Development Phases
In Frederikshavn, the actual supply in 2007 has a renewable energy share of
approximately 20%. Based on this fact, the project works with the following
years and development phases:
1. The first step is until 2009 when the United Nations (UN) Climate Summit
COP15 was held in Denmark. The objective is to raise the share of
renewable energy in Frederikshavn to approximately 40%.
2. Transformation to 100% renewable energy on an annual basis in Freder-
ikshavn by 2015. However, exchange of energy with the surrounding areas
is allowed.
