Rabbits: The top four firms—of which ours is second—wrote
21 percent of the business. The top eight firms wrote 32 percent,
and the top twenty fi rms wrote 54 percent. The top fi fty fi rms
wrote 75 percent of the business.
Revised: We’re kind of the “Avis” of insurance. We’re only sec-
ond—but we try harder. The result is that we have a big share
of the business. Overall in the industry, the top four firms wrote
about a fifth of the business. The top eight firms wrote about a
third—and the top twenty firms wrote a little more than half.
