It took more than two years to plan and complete this book. During
this time, my colleagues, students, friends, and family have supported
my efforts. I would like to thank Dr. Tom Iseley, my dissertation advisor
at Louisiana Tech University, who introduced me to the exciting field
of trenchless technology. I would like to acknowledge the support of my
family and dedicate this book to my wife Homa, my daughters Maryam
and Zinat, my son-in-law Robert Bernacki, and my grandson Ashton.
