Dr. Mu. Naushad is currently working as an associate professor in the Department
of Chemistry, College of Science, King Saud University, Riyadh, Kingdom of
Saudi Arabia. He obtained his PhD in analytical chemistry from Aligarh Muslim
University, Aligarh, India in 2007. He has vast research experience in the multidis-
ciplinary fields of analytical chemistry, materials chemistry, and more specifically,
environmental science. He holds 5 US patents and has more than 200 publications
in international journals of repute, 15 book chapters, and 4 books published by
renowned international publishers. He has successfully run several research proj-
ects funded by the National Plan for Science and Technology and King Abdulaziz
City for Science and Technology, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He is the editor and
editorial member of several reputed journals, such as Scientific Report (Nature);
Process Safety & Environmental Protection (Elsevier); Journal of Water Process
Engineering (Elsevier); and International Journal of Environmental Research &
Public Health (MDPI). He is also associate editor for Environmental Chemistry
Letters (Springer); Desalination and Water Treatment (Taylor & Francis Group);
and Nanotechnology for Environmental Engineering Journal (Springer). He has
been awarded the Scientist of the Year Award (2015) by the National Environmental
Science Academy, Delhi, India and the Almarai Award (2017), Saudi Arabia.
