3.5.2.6 Design of the Added Building Between
Axes D–F and 4–6 at the Third to the Eighth Stories
As previously stated, the masonry buildings between axes D–F and 4–6 at the
third to the eighth stories were demolished and a new building part with RC dia-
phragms, steel columns, and column ends similar to those in the existing building
were designed and constructed. The details and construction stages of the added
building between the two building parts are shown in Figs. 3.56–3.59.
