              In Fig. 2.7, the enzyme concentration is expressed by a factor E, which is
            the ratio between the actual enzyme concentration in the fabric and the
            concentration that is achievable after an infinitely long time:

            where C E,f,t  is the enzyme concentration in the fabric at time t and C E,f,∞  is

            the enzyme concentration in the fabric after an infinitely long time. Figure
            2.7 shows two regimes: a fast and a slow increase of the enzyme concentra-
            tion. The fast part of the curve represents the convective transfer process
