Section 4-5.4, shrinking the electrode dimension to the micrometer domain results in
a sigmoidal-shaped voltammetric response under quiescent conditions, characteristic
of the different (radial) diffusional ®eld and higher ¯ux of electroactive species of
ultramicroelectrodes.
