7.6 CONCLUSION
In today’s fast-moving world, people are, knowingly or unknowingly, ignoring their health. As a result,
they are incapable of detecting health issues earlier, which lessens the chances of successful treatment.
Various technological solutions are being explored across the world so that healthcare provisions can
be enhanced. These solutions must complement the existing system by utilizing the services provided
by IoT. In this chapter, we have presented a healthcare system that is capable of enhancing the current
healthcare system. This IoT-based real time health monitoring system is the advancement of the ICT-
based healthcare system. This system allows continuous monitoring of heart rate and temperature. It is
flexible for people who are not able to fit doctor appointments in their schedules, elderly people who
