As we conclude this chapter, let us look at the critical points we need to take into
consideration for the new world of applications:
Governance is critical
Stewardship is the biggest risk and pitfall to manage
Automation is here and now
Data science is the new method to success
Business owns and manages data
IT is the facilitator
We looked at several examples and identified these areas as we discussed the
examples
Application processing requires us to move beyond just data and information
As we move into the next segments of the book, we will look at how each segment is
using these approaches to manage delivery of big data applications and its impact to that
organization.
