RFID, Business Intelligence (BI), Mobile Computing, and the Cloud
should develop a plan to adopt a mobile strategy for managing sales using SaaS through
                       mobile devices.
                   2. Do some research on the Internet to find current opinions on the pros and cons of using
SaaS. Try to find some examples of success and failure stories. Under what circumstances
do you think using an SaaS makes sense?
                   3. List the advantages of using mobile devices from the point of view of a Fitter salesperson.
Next, list the challenges of developing and supporting those mobile applications from the
point of view of Fitter’s IT staff. Assume the company is hosting its own ERP system. What
should the company’s strategy be? Why?
                   4. In-memory computing technology is changing the face of BI. Create a PowerPoint
presentation that brings the Fitter crew up to speed on this emerging technology. 239
                   5. Research the current status of mobile applications for phones and tablets in the corporate
world. Write a two-page summary of how these applications are being used, and cite
specific examples. Be sure to include your references with the summary.
                   6. Using the library or Internet sources, write an update on the status of FDA legislation
surrounding RFID packaging on drugs. Are there any privacy concerns?
