Activity: Initiate DG Socialization
Socialization is just thatdstart to be social about the new DG framework (it will be called an orga-
nization anyway) and meet and greet the new participants one at a time. This is the beginning of
orientation. If there is an associated MDM effort, you may already have a communications plan in
place, and this step will be an event in that plan. Otherwise, this is an activity to set and manage
expectations.

Business Benefits and Ramifications
It is important to understand that you are still marketing. Most of the new participants in DG will not be
clear on what it is they have to do or even why they are doing it. This is a critical step in changing that.
The benefits of a casual socialization and “road show” will be to get everyone’s thinking pointed in the
same direction.
