               closely with major customers (e.g. Wal-Mart, TESCO) to educate them
               about the environmental performance of its products, packaging,
               cold-drink equipment, and distribution network. Likewise, Coke has
               worked extensively  with cold-drink equipment suppliers on the
               development of sustainable refrigeration and is beginning work on
               sustainable purchasing, with an initial focus on sugar cane.
                   Finally, Coke participated in a pilot project with Carbon Trust to
               evaluate the total emission of GHG from products across their life
               cycle. Through this project and other similar projects, the company is
               exploring ways to communicate information related to a product’s
               carbon footprint to consumers. While Coke has no immediate plans
               to put carbon labels on beverage packages, this information will
               most likely be shared with interested consumers via Coke’s corporate
               responsibility website.

          ConAgra Foods: Packaging Innovation
               ConAgra Foods, based in Omaha, Nebraska, is a leading packaged
               foods company whose brands include Healthy Choice, Hunt’s, and
               Orville Redenbacher’s, among others. ConAgra Foods also has a
               significant presence in commercial food products and is one of the
               nation’s leading specialty potato providers to restaurants and other
