Throughput Processes

The three chapters in this section focus on several key throughput processes. Chapter 6
examines the roles of tension among members, group fantasy, member socialization,
norms, and group climate in the creation of a group’s culture. Chapters 7 and 8 are
companion chapters. Chapter 7 focuses on theoretical approaches to group leadership,
one of the most important small group throughput processes. Chapter 8 follows up with
practical approaches to leadership.
