the technology that creates the textiles. This also means that there is an im-
mense amount of textile mills that create waste, use precious resources, and
          cause pollution [6].

          4.2 GLOBAL TEXTILE SCENARIO

The textile industry market includes yarns and fabrics. The market value
comprises the domestic production including the imports and without the
exports, assessed at manufacturer prices. The value of the world textile in-
dustry market totaled $667.5 billion in 2015 (up 1.1% from the year 2014).
The total annual growth rate of the market was 4.4% between the years
2011 and 2015. The Asia-Pacific region contributed toward 54.6% of the
global textile industry market value and Europe accounted for a further
20.6% of the market. The global textile industry market is expected to reach
$842.6 billion in value in the year 2020, an increase of 26.2% since the year
2015. The compound annual growth rate of the market between the years
2015 and 2020 is forecast to be 4.8% [7]. The details of the global textile
market scenario are presented in Table 4.1.
This indicates the rampant growth of textile industry across the world
and the consumption of textile products. The increase in consumption of
textile products will lead to the increase in production of textile products.

          4.3 POLLUTION IN TEXTILE INDUSTRY

The textile industry is a multiple entity including a wide range of industrial
elements, which utilize numerous natural and synthetic fibers to manu-
facture different fabrics. The textile industries are complicated in nature
as far as the raw materials, processes, and products are concerned. During
manufacture, the textile fabric has to undergo various processing and chem-
ical operations like sizing, resizing, scrubbing, mercerizing, decolorizing,
dyeing, printing, and finishing. In a textile industry, number of chemicals
