7.2.2 Rough cutting of components

During the rough cutting process, a specified fabric allowance is left around the con-
tours of the components, and the cutlines may not be exactly parallel to the actual
contours (see Fig. 7.5). The rough cutting is the first step after which the second step
of fine cutting is carried out.
