43 Sprue Sticking

















          „ „43.1„ Description



          The sprue is the part of the runner system that provides entrance into the mold
          from the nozzle of the molding machine. A sprue is considered to stick when the
          mold opens and the sprue remains behind in the sprue bushing on the “A” side of
          the mold. See Figure 43.1 for an example of a typical sprue.
