Where to Go from Here
After reading this book, I hope you are more aware of your hidden
strengths that are ready to be tapped, or limiting behaviors or
assumptions that have you caught on a sticky floor. Or perhaps you
are better equipped to see and know how to avoid a sticky floor that
will limit your potential. I am not asking you to conquer all of the
sticky floors. There may be only one that is important to you, your
biggest priority, which is worth addressing and working on.
As soon as you do that, you will open yourself up to possibilities.
And possibilities are what we are talking about in this book—the
possibility of determining what you want, what you want to achieve,
what is stopping you, and ways to get unstuck. Whatever it is, know
it is in your power to have what you want.
So I leave you with the following recommendations.
Have a Plan
A plan gives you focus and accountability. So, make a plan, and then
share the plan with others and get their input. Most of all, be will-
ing and open to reaching out to others and asking for help. Build
and capitalize on your own board of directors.
Don’t Let Your Fears Stop You
Everything is possible. You need to believe and want it. It may be a
cliché, but the old adage, “The only thing to fear is fear itself” is
true. The number one thing that can hold women back is the fear of
failure. Thomas Edison tried thousands of times to invent the light
bulb before he finally got it right. So when you feel your fear com-
ing on, ask yourself, what’s the worst that can happen? Addressing
and walking through our fears is not actually failing, rather it is
learning and strengthening our own inner confidence that enables us
