part of your life. The art and science of mobilizing progressively
larger groups of people around an increasingly broadly defi ned com-
mon purpose likely will emerge as a lifelong challenge. Whether you
address these questions through further study or real-life experience,
you’ll have an ever-growing need for their answers. As you can well
imagine, this is a far broader course of study than this chapter—or
even this book—can address.
Remember that no matter where you end up or how far you travel,
your starting point never changes. No matter how large your cul-
tural crystal becomes, the basic tenets of your seed crystal remain
the same. What this fi nal chapter will—and must—address is not the
question of what you might end up doing differently as a defi ner of
culture, but how to keep doing “the same thing you do every day.”
