This book is about managing global warming. It looks at a range of technical issues
from the status quo of energy production today, to the many ways we can reduce CO 2
production with nuclear fission (and 1day fusion) and the many renewable options
available to us today. There are chapters on new carbon-based chemical industries
that do not use oil-based feedstocks, greener farming to reduce greenhouse gas
emissions, and geoengineering. Furthermore, the book also looks at a range of envi-
ronmental and human issues that include the ethics of geoengineering, the economics
of geoengineering and of global warming implications; human migration; justice in
managing climate change; and local actions involving all human beings.
