Philip Griffin
Philip received his PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Limerick (UL), Ireland. He is
currently a faculty member in UL’s School of Engineering, where he teaches undergraduate courses in Applied
Engineering Mechanics and Vibrations and graduate courses in Computational Mechanics to Mechanical Engineering
students. His research interests include both experimental and computational mechanics, with particular emphasis
on simulating transient flow phenomena and observing how they interact with structures and systems to generate
noise and vibration.
