For the analysis of alkyltin, ECD-GC and FPDGC are the main methods in use and HPLC is less used.
Sample preparation for HPLC is simpler than that for the GC method. The use of HPLC for the analysis
of alkyltin has been reported after alkali decomposition. Bis(tri-n-butyltin) oxide (TBTO) in fish was
converted to trin-butyltin chloride(TBTC) with hydrochloric acid,
