           . What is the management style of the person who would be my
              supervisor?

           . In what ways  is  management  loolung  For  this  function  [the
              function performed by the department I would be worlung in]
              to be improved?

           . What have been the major problems [barriers to reaching de-
              partment goals] in the past?

           . What will be the major challenges for the person who is hired?


           . How often will I be expected to travel?

        Not all of these questions may relate to your specific situation, and you
        may be able to formulate many others that do. Use this listing as a guide
        to the type of information you may need to better determine whether this
        job would be a good fit with your skulls, work style, and goals.


        Questions About the Work Environment


        How happy you will be in a job involves more than the work you will be
        doing. The people you will be working with, the way your performance is
        evaluated, and the support the company gives its employees in terms of
        training and development are issues that will affect how you feel about
        the  organization  once you  are on the  job.  Consider asking questions
        relating to these areas of concern:

              with? Working for?

           . How is  performance evaluated? How often, by whom, what
              criteria are used? Does the employee have input into the evalua-
