6. Panel general arrangement
Before panel wiring and schematic diagrams are produced, either by the manu-
facturer or by the design contractor, it is necessary to produce a drawing giving
arrangement details for the panel. The layout of any control panel is important
from both the ergonomic and safety point of view, and producing this draw-
ing also assists the designer in the selection of switches, pushbuttons, lamps,
annunciators, etc.
