5.6.2. Pulling into ducts
Most ducts are constructed of a high-density polyurethane, PVC, or an epoxy
fiberglass compound. To reduce pulling tensions during cable installation, the
inside walls can have longitudinal or corrugated ribs, or they may have
been lubricated at the factory. Alternatively, a variety of pulling lubricants are
