The following procedure is suggested for determining the most severely-
corroded spools and corrosion rates from the results of repeat on-line
inspection.
Quantifying corrosion rates and severely-corroded
spools
Single inspection
The results from a single inspection run are easily evaluated, as spools
exhibiting the highest maximum and mean metal loss readings can be readily
identified. Prior to a second inspection, spools with 'high' maximum or mean
