We discussed multigenerational issues with Kemp Gallineau,
general manager of Gaylord Palms Hotel and Resort:
Q: Managers in some companies complain about motivat-
ing and managing the Millennial generation—those born
since 1981 or so. Has this been an issue at Gaylord Palms?
Gallineau: “No, not really. We use a lot of interns from the
colleges, and we put a lot of effort in trying to understand
them. I’m now in my 40s, and I realize things are changing.
