After the IR measurements have been made, acetone was passed through the cups to clean them. The
diffuse reflectance measurements were carried out on an Analect FX-6200 FT-IR, equipped with a
diffuse reflectance accessory. The strip was moved with a standard x/y drive mechanism. The location
of each component was found by monitoring the individual spectra and/or the reconstructed
chromatogram. The spectrum was taken at the most concentrated portion of the peak at 4 cm
-1
resolution.
