Now it’s plain to see that although presentation design operates
on the principle of a reverse wave, the energy principle operates on the
principle of a standard wave. This may seem like a paradox, but
together they combine to create a powerful piece of work, which
looks like this:

Danger
zone

Energy

Now you can forget all this and remember only that the great
presentation not only has a strong start and finish in its design, but

a strong ending also in its energy. To blow away the danger zone,
simply:

1. Be prepared.
2. Apply the POWER formula.
3. Care a lot about what you are saying and not so much about

how you are doing—and make sure you do not flag in the fi nal
portion of your presentation.
