yourself to be crisp, to find the path of least resistance. Every piece
of information will tell a small story that is part of a bigger story. It
is up to you to orchestrate the essential details, head them all in the
same direction, and walk them carefully where they’ve got to go.
Think of it this way:
◆ Assemble—Bring the relevant data together.
◆ Align—Make certain all the facts are headed in the same
direction.
◆ Apply—Explain how these facts, put together, tell a story.
◆ Assign—Go the next step and add value. That is, take the
information and what it is telling you; then project that infor-
mation into a highly probable future reality. You add value to
the entire proposition by creating a model for the future that
will let us make decisions today.
Put it all together, and you are ready to start unleashing the
power.
