                                                                                    Introduction xv

show you the basics of how to control the robot. In Chapter 8, we look at
how to write programs for the other robot controller, the BrainStem. In
this chapter, we’ll look at writing programs in a language named TEA
                                    and in Java.
In Chapter 9, Sensors and Enhancements, we turn back to the hardware
side with a look at other sensors and devices that you can attach to your
robot. We’ll show you how to connect them and how to use them.

As you probably know, you can do a million and one things with your
Palm OS PDA. In Chapter 10, Having Fun with Your Robot, we turn away
from the Palm Pilot Robot and look at a few other robot-related activities
that you can do with your Palm OS PDA.
Finally, several of the chapters in this book use software tools to write
programs for the robot. We’ve gathered all the software that we used or
developed in the book, including the Palm Robot Programmer, and put it
                                    all on a CD-ROM.
