Hello, World!
Let’s start with a simple example that will show you some of the features of
PocketC. In this example, we’ll draw a form on the screen, and use some but-
tons to accept input from the form. For now, don’t worry about understand-
ing every keyword or function in the listing. We just want to get a quick
example working. This program is short enough that you could enter it di-
rectly into a memo on your PDA. However, most of the time it will be easier to
type the memo into the Palm Desktop and then hot sync it to the PDA. (If you
read the HotPaw Basic section above, you probably have a strange feeling of
déjà vu about now.)
What do we want the program to do? First, it will display the phrase “Hello,
World!” to the screen. Next, it will draw a button on the screen.
