DIAPHRAGM VALVES
Diaphragm valves are flex-body valves in which the valve body con-
sists of a rigid and flexible section. The flexible body section is provided
by a diaphragm which, in connection with a compressor, represents the
closure member. The seat is provided by the rigid body section and may
consist of a weir across the flow passage, as in the valve shown in Figure
3-93, or be provided by the wall of a straight-through flow passage, as in
Figure 3-94.
