            Efforts  to overcome  the alignment problem  of plain wedges led  to  the
          development  of self-aligning  wedges. Figure  3-41, Figure  3-42,  and  Fig-
          ure  3-43  show  typical  examples.  The  simplest  of  these  is  the flexible
          wedge shown in Figure 3-41  and Figure  3-42, which is composed  of two
