         Uncertainty analysis is needed to prove the accuracy of the experiments. The uncer-
         tainty analysis of various parameters was calculated using the percentage of uncer-
         tainties of various instruments shown in Table 14.3.



         14.3    Results and discussion

         14.3.1 Different proportions of AME blends with diesel
         The experimental investigations are conducted in a single-cylinder DI diesel engine
         using different proportions of AME with diesel. The performance characteristics such
         as BTE, BSFC, and EGT and emission characteristics such as HC, CO, NO x , and
