Alter the

Environment

s a manager or supervisor, you are capable of having an
Aenormous effect on your company’s work environment.
According to the basic principles of environmental psychology,
the actual setting or work environment can have a dramatic

impact on overall employee morale, enthusiasm for the job, and
productivity. Managers and supervisors need to be aware of this
and do what they can to enhance the work environment when-
ever and in whatever way possible.

Love Your People and They’ll Love Where They Work

Managers must be willing to make time to alter the environment
if and when necessary. And it’s easier to do than you may think.
Contrary to popular belief, altering the work environment to
encourage and support more positive and high-performing

employees isn’t about spending a lot of money or having fancy
digs. That’s not what makes people love where they work. So it
doesn’t matter if your company is located on the penthouse floor
