ANISALDEHYDE
Anisaldehyde is a colorless oily liquid with an agreeable odor resembling
that of coumarin, which is developed only after dilution and in mixtures.
It is made by the oxidation of anethole (the chief constituent of anise,
star anise, and fennel oils).

Anethole is obtained from the higher-boiling fractions of pine oil.
