CALCIUM LACTATE
Calcium lactate is manufactured by the reaction of calcium carbonate
(CaCO ) or hydroxide [Ca(OH) ] with lactic acid.

Calcium lactate is sold for use in medicines and in foods as a source of
calcium and as an intermediate in the purification of lactic acid from fer-
mentation processes.
