nolamines can also be made by reaction of oxide with the appropriate
amine.
Alkanolamines are used for gas cleaning (i.e., to remove carbon dioxide
and hydrogen sulfide from gas streams) (Fig. 2), particularly in the petro-
leum and natural gas industries.
