X AXIS                XYZ
                            The term x axis has various meanings in mathematics, computer science,
                            and robotics.
                              In a Cartesian plane or 2-space graph, the x axis is generally the hori-
                            zontal axis (illustration, at left). The independent variable is represented
                            by this axis. In Cartesian 3-space, the x axis is one of the two independ-
                            ent  variables, the  other  usually  being  represented  by  y (illustration,
                            at right).

                         x axis
                              In wrist-force sensing, the x axis refers to linear forces from the right or
                            the left. Compare Y AXIS and Z AXIS.
