other steel-based fixtures should be supported so that they do not
contact concrete at all as in Fig. 11.19(b) [18] or in Fig. 11.20. If horizontal
tanks must sit on a concrete saddle, as in Fig. 11.21, a support plate
should be welded to the vessel to give an extra thickness allowance for
the expected corrosion. A metal saddle would be even better.
